Barberton High School Marketing (DECA) students Janel Mitchell & Jana Sawalma who placed third in the State in Sports & Entertainment Business Operations Research at the DECA Career Development Conference over the weekend and will represent BHS at the National Competition in Anaheim, CA in April.
If you are enrolled in a program at Norton or Copley (Masonry, Athletic Healthcare, or Chef Prep) you are required to begin attending your program on Aug. 23rd. You will pick up the Compact bus at your home school. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from your home school.

Please join us in congratulating Business Management student Dragana Trifkovic (Barberton) for placing FIFTH IN THE NATION in Integrated Office Systems at the Business Professionals of America National Conference in Chicago! She competed against 50 other top students from across the country to earn this honor.
The Junior Advancement to Nursing class recently visited the Labor and Delivery unit at SUMMA Barberton Hospital. The students visited both the delivery suite and nursery. They were able to view a placenta with a fetal sac and observe an infant hearing test.
Congratulations to Rachael Stoner, 2008 Wadsworth High School and Four Cities Educational Compact’s Engineering Design & Technology graduate on obtaining an internship in Manhattan with Focus Lighting. Rachael is set to graduate, Magna Cum Laude, from Kent State with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Architecture this June
Recently, the Teacher Training Program traveled to Muskingum University for the Future Educators Association Conference. This conference provides students with the opportunity to hear nationally renown speakers and attend workshops on education.

Norton High School’s masonry students are well on their way toward a successful career.
In a recent annual Christmas Masonry Contest sponsored by the Ohio Administrative District Council of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, students in Don Begert’s masonry program won first place finishes in the masonry contest. The students competed with other schools throughout the entire state.

For the third year in a row, ALL senior students in the Advancement to Nursing program located at Barberton High School passed both the written and skilled exam and are now Certified State Tested Nurse Assistants! Senior students from Barberton, Copley, Norton and Wadsworth, are participating in 11 weeks of intensive emergency telecommunications training at Barberton High School. The Four Cities Educational Compact Public Safety Program, is a two-year career technical program housed at Barberton High School, instructed by Mr. Jeremy Milford.
