National Technical Honor Society

National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) follows a similar format of National Honor Society but is restricted to students who are enrolled in an approved, Career Technical, Secondary Workforce Program. 
The purpose of the National Technical Honor Society is to promote service, leadership, honesty, career development, and skilled workmanship; to reward student achievement; to encourage and assist student educational and career goal setting; to promote a stronger linkage between local career and technical institutions and business and industry; and to promote the image of career and technical education in America.
 

The qualifications for membership

  1.  An "A-" (A minus) average or better in the Career Tech class (in both theory and lab).
  2. 3.00 cumulative GPA for all classes.
  3. 95% attendance record at home school AND program school.
  4. No in-school, out-of-school suspensions or expulsions or other significant discipline issues.
  5. Demonstrated responsibility (completes work on time, follows directions, etc)
  6. Demonstrated a high moral character (is honest, respectful of others, has integrity)
  7. Demonstrated positive attitude (works to potential, does not complain, etc)
  8. Report and provide evidence of extracurricular and / or community involvement.
  9. Describe in a paragraph your experience in your Career Technical program, and how you anticipate that experience will impact your future.
Students who believe they meet the qualifications should complete the online application and obtain two teacher recommendations. The application will be open December 1, 2024 - January 12, 2025.
