Wadsworth Middle School Participates in Reality Day

The Compact held it's second REALITY DAY program of the year and this time it was the Wadsworth Middle School 8th graders who received a lesson in personal finances and budgeting. On hand were a host of community volunteers/visitors from PTA, Businesses, Soprema Senior Center, School Board Members, District Administrators, and City Government. The students chose a job they may like to do some day-and were given a salary and family situation. They had to spend money on necessities like groceries/clothing/transportation etc... and even deal with unexpected costs like a ticket from School Resource Officer Adam Innocenti. Many thanks to all our volunteers, Tina Vukovic, Lillian Turano, Principal Eric Jackson, and Compact Counselor Corinne Magensky for creating a special learning opportunity.
